We only use OFA certified studs with high health clearances because we feel this is so important to making a healthy, excellent family pet or sport dog. Meet Our Jack Russell Terriers The short legged English Jack Russell ("shorties") are a shorter, calmer version of the taller variety of Jack Russell Terrier. These little terriers were initially bred for fox hunting and had to be small enough to fit into a saddle bag. In the hunt these small Jacks would chase down a hole after the fox. The huntsman could reach into the hole, grab the Jack by the short tail and pull out the little Jack hopefully with a fox attached! 2025 Waitlist As a modern pet, JRTs make excellent companions in the barn, the garden, or in the house snuggling up to their owner. They love being part of any adventure, such as long distance traveling or a ride to the hardware store. They also enjoy children and other animals when socialized early in life.
