We only use OFA certified studs with high health clearances because we feel this is so important to making a healthy, excellent family pet or sport dog. Meet Our Jack Russell Terriers The short legged English Jack Russell ("shorties") are a shorter, calmer version of the taller variety of Jack Russell Terrier. These little terriers were initially bred for fox hunting and had to be small enough to fit into a saddle bag. In the hunt these small Jacks would chase down a hole after the fox. The huntsman could reach into the hole, grab the Jack by the short tail and pull out the little Jack hopefully with a fox attached! Check out my puppies! As a modern pet, JRTs make excellent companions in the barn, the garden, or in the house snuggling up to their owner. Pippin, Tink, and Zara love being part of any adventure - long distance traveling or a ride to the hardware store. We pride our policy to socialize them early and often with children, other animals, and a variety of sights and sounds. JRTs are characteristically playful, intelligent, and loyal.
